  • Harau Waterfalls: Exotic Valley and Rice fields

    Harau Waterfalls are located in Harau Valley which is located halfway between Bukit Tinggi (West Sumatera Province and Riau Province, Indonesia), it took about one hour car driving from Bukittinggi to get in Harau Valley. Harau Valley sometimes called Arau valley where lush green rice fields are hemmed in between huge granite cliffs.

    There are many waterfalls tumble down from 80 to 300 meters height into the valley below, but there are 4 famous waterfalls which is one in Akar Berayun, and four in Serasah Bunta (Serasah Boenta). J.H.G Boissevain a Dutch Major who visited Serasah Bunta Waterfall in 1926 and it indicated by a carved stone expressing the beauty of this valley.
